SLIME CARE ! HOW DO I STORE SLIME PROPERLY?

Slime should be stored in an airtight container to prevent it from drying out.

BEST SLIME CONDITIONS

  • Play with clean hands- to keep slime clean and germ free.

  • Avoid  warm temperatures, slime should be in cool temperatures as to avoid it from becoming extremely sticky  and provide a longer shelf life.

  • Avoid fabric as it will stick to it.

  • Avoid leaving slime out for long periods of time as it will dry out.

GETTING SLIME OUT

SLIME IN HAIR 

For long hair

  • Dip hair into vinegar and soak for 1 minute then remove slime with your fingers

  •  Then shampoo hair

For short hair or slime that is close to the scalp 

  • Soak wash cloth in vinegar and apply the cloth to the slime  on hair leave for a minute

  • (CAUTION do not let vinegar drip into the eyes)

  • Then use fingers to pull the slime out, finally shampoo hair.

  • Washcloth can be laundered.

SLIME ON YOUR CLOTHES

  • Lay article down on smooth surface

  • Scrape excess slime off with spoon going from outer edge to inside to avoid spreading

  • Pour vinegar over the remaining slime spot and soak for one minute

  • Remove excess slime with a spoon, rinse spot in warm water and launder as usual 

SLIME ON CARPET,COUCH, AND UPHOLSTRED FURNITURE

  • Scrape the excess slime avoid spreading the slime

  • Pour vinegar on slime spot to saturate it, wait one minute and then use a clean spoon to remove the remainder of the slime.

  • Blot with a damp towel, once area is dry vacuum spot.

TROUBLE SHOOTING SLIME

SLIME IS DRIED OUT

  • You may just need some moisture,

  • Tips to rescue your slime by adding a little lotion at a time or running under warm water unfortunately if nothing works slime is no longer good.

  • Butter slime once dried out cannot be fixed.

SLIME IS TOO HARD AND BREAKS

Slime needs to be soften, slime made with 

  • White PVA glue ~ add lotion a drop at a time and knead until desired consistency. 

  • Clear PVA  glue ~ run under warm water

Slime does not last forever…

SLIME SHOULD BE THROWN AWAY WHEN

  • It smells/ has a funny odor

  • The colour has dramatically changed

  • Not responding to troubleshooting tips.

WARNING

  • Do not ingest slime !

  • Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and nose… In case of contact rinse throughly with water

  • Keep away from pets, small children, carpet, furniture and hair

  • Do not play with slime if you have a wound, or eczema on hands or arms

  • Stop using if you show signs of a rash or itchiness after playing with slime ! 

  • Always wash hands before and after handling slime.
